The Project

This 1996 Jaguar XJS arrived into Carrosserie HQ in February 2024 for fabrication works due to corrosion, and then a paintwork refresh by our experienced paint team.

22nd February 2024: Fabrication work to both rear jacking points, rear quarters, and sills has been started. Once complete it will move over to our paint team for a respray to front wings, bonnet, scuttles, doors, and lower rear quarters, and a touch up on the rear bumper.

7th March 2024: Fabrication work to repair left rear wheel arch. Front quarter panels have been removed to begin paint preparation. Right front sill repair work needed due to corrosion.

28th March 2024: Fabrication works have been completed and the car has now moved over to the paintshop for the bodywork to be prepped for prime and paint. Work has started with the front wings which have been filled and sanded so are nearly read for primer. Customer has requested we treat the car with Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 and Lanoguard and complete a full service before handing it back.

11th April 2024: The front wings have been filled, sanded and primed. They are now ready to be painted.
