I receive a lot of emails in a day – yes, I need a lot of inspiration!
One that caught my eye a few days ago was a BMW E46 M3 Touring. It was never made by BMW – even though they would probably have sold a few.
Apparently plenty of people have made their own over the years by swapping M3 running gear into/ onto a touring shell.
But this time they have hand fabricated the flared wheel arches etc. Expect to pay ‘from’ £130k.
Sadly it isn’t on our website, but many moons ago we did make an Aston Shooting Brake.
Why that term?
A shooting brake is a car body style that merges a sporty, two-door coupé silhouette with the extended roofline and rear hatch of an estate car (station wagon).
The term dates back to the 1890s and were horse-drawn wagons used in the United Kingdom to transport hunting parties, their equipment, and game.
Modern versions prioritise stylish practicality, often featuring premium performance, long bonnets, and a sleek, estate-like rear for increased storage.
And then I found a great Top Gear articles that has 13 of them – plenty are weird and wonderful.
And right at the top is a DB5 one. Would anyone pay for one? Well in 2019 an auction sold one for $1.7m so I guess the answer is yes!
Thanks,
